Billings designated hitter Al Nichol had a good game, even if his team did not. The Mustangs dropped a 9-8 decision to Astoria at Golden Fleece Park. Nichol was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Astoria reliever Artashes Injeyan was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Diego Castro took the loss for Billings. The win gives the Argonauts a record of 2-2.

Robby Lucero was the walk-off hero for Astoria. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Argonauts third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lucero told the Astoria Herald.
