Fans at The Death Star were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Detroit Death Stars take on the Minneapolis Freeze.

The Detroit Death Stars racked up a win at The Death Star, bumping off the Minneapolis Freeze, 8-2. Kevin Everhart, who started for Detroit, pitched effectively for his team. Everhart got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Everhart allowed 2 earned runs.

The Death Stars picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"I thought we played a nice game," Everhart told the Detroit Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
