Mile High Wins, Wych goes 3-for-3
|
The Mile High Mustangs beat the Kansas City Tornadoes, 10-5, at Debris Field. Mile High shortstop Gerard Wych earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Yoshiki Sato, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities. The Mustangs bumped their record to 86-74 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from first baseman Adam Hounsell. For the game, Hounsell was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 33rd home run of the season gave Mile High a 6-4 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Wych.
