Rhinos Come Back Late to Clip Sasquatch
|
Rubber City first baseman Mike Ramos was a significant contributor in his team's 8-5 triumph over the Seattle Sasquatch. He went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for Rubber City. Rubber City reliever Anupradana Agarkar picked up the win, upping his record to 8-8. Ron Callaghan took the loss. At 79-80, the Rhinos are currently third in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
Ramos had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-0 cutter from Ron Callaghan, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Rhinos a 8-5 lead. It was the 25th home run of the year for Ramos.
"We'll savor this win," Ramos told the Rubber City Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
