Sasquatch Drop Texans with Late Score
|
The Seattle Sasquatch faced a tough opponent in Dallas pitcher Paul Johnston, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Sick's Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Johnston went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Hisataro Sato got the save, his 31st in 38 chances. Seattle goes to 64-92, Dallas to 91-65.
The Sasquatch got a big at-bat from third baseman Ruberto Sucena. For the game, Sucena was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 128th hit of the season gave Seattle a 4-3 lead.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sucena.
