Toreros Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Toreros designated hitter George Guinn put his stamp on his team's 7-2 win over the Vancouver Pioneers. Guinn went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Cabo San Lucas in the contest. Gareth King got the win, improving to 5-1. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Cabo San Lucas is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The Toreros got a big at-bat from first baseman Itsuka Arakaki. For the game, Arakaki went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 19th double of the season gave Cabo San Lucas a 2-0 lead.
