Maple right-hander Joey Steamer pitched his team to victory over the South Carolina Bombers at Legends Park. The final score was 3-1. The first-place Marauders have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Maulik Shaw didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and South Carolina trailing 3-1, Shaw retired Jesús Dela to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Shaw, with a wink.
