The New England Colonials wiggled past the Havana Stogies, 5-4, at Skellington Stadium. New England pitcher Juan Salinas earned player of the game honors. New England is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Gil Cozart came to bat in the bottom of the 17th. Facing Havana pitcher Ti-an Dan, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring triple. It was a game-changer, putting New England on top, 5-4.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Salinas. "I like it."
