Rhinos Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Spirited fans at House of the Republic greeted the So Cal Republic for their clash with the Rubber City Rhinos.
The Rubber City Rhinos defeated the So Cal Republic, 7-2, at House of the Republic. Rubber City second baseman Tekkan Tanaka was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Andres Fajardo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
Tanaka had a key at-bat for Rubber City early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 24th double of the season and gave Rubber City an early 1-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said Tanaka after the game.
The Rhinos have now won 5 straight.
