Hawaii right-hander Mikey Altman pitched his team to a shutout win, 1-0, over the Brooklyn Black Knights. The first-place Islanders have won 4 straight.
The Islanders got a big at-bat from right fielder Declan Ringer. For the game, Ringer was 1 for 3 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 19th double of the season gave Hawaii a 1-0 lead.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Altman told the Hawaii Bulletin.
