Aces Win at New England, 8-1
|
Las Vegas first baseman Jeremy Bassett made his presence felt in the 8-1 Aces triumph over the New England Colonials. Bassett was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times. Yoshiaga Rin, credited with the win, is now 6-14. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 5.1 innings. The last-place Aces are now 58-93, the Colonials 70-81.
The Aces got a big at-bat from shortstop Monzaemon Yamamoto. For the game, Yamamoto went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Las Vegas a 4-1 lead.
