Blazers Lose to Marauders, 7-4
|
The Maple Marauders bested the Bloomington Blazers, 7-4, at Arson Arena. Motonobu Yamasaki was named player of the game. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Justin Rogers got the save, his 4th in 5 chances. Maple is now 102-49, 10½ games up in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from left fielder Angel Barajas. For the game, Barajas went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 123rd hit of the season gave Maple a 5-3 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Yamasaki.
