It was a fun time at Arson Arena, where the Maple Marauders and Bloomington Blazers tangled.
The Bloomington Blazers relied on the hitting of catcher Eugene Axe to stop the Maple Marauders, 8-4. For the game, Axe was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Joachim Doucet got the save, his 3rd in 5 chances.
Mike Burge, who is the top prospect in the Blazers organization, chipped in for Bloomington with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Burge. "And not try to do too much."
The Blazers bumped their record to 91-58 with this latest triumph.
