|
The Dallas Texans relied on the hitting of third baseman Bryce Rice to stop the San Diego Hops, 5-4. For the game, Rice was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Nicolas Dupuis, credited with the win, is now 10-7. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Texans.
Rice had a game-changing double in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 slider from Mitsuzuka Koyama, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Texans a 5-4 lead. It was the 17th double of the year for Rice.
