Obershaw Throws 1-Hitter En Route to 6-1 Blazers Win
|
The Bloomington Blazers topped the Eureka Hornets, 6-1, in Thurman Munson League action at The Nest. The player of the game was Bloomington pitcher Jim Obershaw. The Blazers bumped their record to 90-55 with this latest triumph.
Obershaw was effective against the Hornets, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Eureka to just 1 run on 1 hit over 9 innings.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blazers manager Javier Ramírez, "I like our chances."
