The Bloomington Blazers got a superb performance from pitcher Victor Hernandez, but the Las Vegas Aces still won the game, 3-1. Hernandez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The win was credited to Richard Lawson in relief. His record improves to 9-5. Victor Hernandez took the loss. Amaui Mahi'ai converted his 14th save in 18 tries.
Doug White, who leads the RCL with a .564 slugging percentage, aided the Las Vegas cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-3 with a home run.
White told a Las Vegas Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Las Vegas, at 53-90, sits in last place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division.
