Rhinos Lose to Grays, 4-1
|
The Georgia Grays topped the Rubber City Rhinos, 4-1, in Thurman Munson League action at The Rubber Grounds. The player of the game was Georgia right fielder Tadataka Yoshino. Georgia reliever Pete Murphy picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Sigfrid Arnim absorbed the loss. Matt Comrie got the save, his 39th in 46 chances.
The Grays got a big at-bat from shortstop Jarek Domaszewski. For the game, Domaszewski went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Georgia a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Yoshino. "And not try to do too much."
The Grays bumped their record to 72-71 with this latest triumph.
