Armada Jolt Colonials with Late Rally
The New England Colonials got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Martínez, but the Quebec Armada still won the game, 5-3. Martínez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs. Quebec reliever Mei-shan Huang picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Lien-ying Mar absorbed the loss. The Armada bumped their record to 73-72 with this latest triumph.

The Armada got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Matsudaira Shimada. For the game, Shimada went 1-1. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 77th hit of the season gave Quebec a 4-3 lead.

"We'll try to build on that win," Shimada told the Quebec Times.
