Loss to Toreros Extends Santa Fe Losing Streak
|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros picked up a win at The Fire House, knocking off the Santa Fe Fuego, 4-0. Starting pitcher Masazumi Ohayashi was an essential part of his team's success. Ohayashi went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 7-13. Santa Fe has now lost 9 consecutive games.
José Pérez aided the Cabo San Lucas cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Pérez said.
