Stogies Win at Vancouver, 3-2
|
Havana Stogies starter Joe Hardy was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Vancouver Pioneers, 3-2. Felipe Arreola was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 33 of 37 save opportunities. The Stogies bumped their record to 88-52 with this latest triumph.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Reynaldo Aguilera, hit a single. It helped Havana seize the win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Aguilera said.
