San Diego designated hitter Akira Kato was instrumental in his team's 8-1 win over the Oklahoma City Prowlers. Kato, who is a three-time All-Star, went 4-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hops. Jim Phillips picked up the win, improving his season record to 10-16.
