Tony Velázquez got the win, improving to 9-11. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Vancouver has a 3-game win streak, while Havana has lost 3 in a row.
Tofeeq Kuchis aided the Vancouver cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Nance.
