Sasquatch Win at Cabo San Lucas, 7-2
|
The Seattle Sasquatch picked up a win at Field de Los Layendas, knocking off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-2. Starting pitcher Garth Daniels, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Daniels got the win, improving to 6-9. He allowed 9 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Daniels allowed 2 earned runs. The last-place Sasquatch now have a win-loss record of 56-83.
It could have been a different outcome for Seattle, had it not been for Rob Leibbrandt, the 22-year old center fielder . Leibbrandt contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Seattle up, 3-1.
"We did a lot of things right," said Daniels.
