Eureka pitcher Su-gyung Park did his part in helping his team beat the Georgia Grays, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Park, now 2-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Alim bin Umar closed the game out for Eureka, earning his 5th save.

The Hornets got a big at-bat from third baseman José Zavala. For the game, Zavala was 2-2 with a triple, a double, and was hit by a pitch. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Eureka a 3-2 lead.

"I really like what we did out there today," Zavala said after the game.

The win brings the Hornets to 9-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
