Black Knights Win at Quebec, 4-2

The Brooklyn Black Knights picked up a win at Lucky 7 Ballpark, knocking off the Quebec Armada, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jan Shirazi was an essential part of his team's success. In 7.1 innings, Shirazi surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Ji-hwan Yea was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 36 of 42 save opportunities.
Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Sadahige Taniguchi to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Black Knights on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Shirazi.
The 5th-place Black Knights lifted their record to 63-75.
