Beavers Win at Mile High, 5-1

The Portland Beavers went home winners at McNichols Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Felipe De La Hoya. De La Hoya silenced the Mile High Mustangs, enabling Portland to grab the 5-1 win. In 6.1 innings, De La Hoya surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Juan Quezada, credited with the save, is now 2 for 13 in save opportunities.
Robert Mentzer swatted a solo home run for Portland in the top of the fourth. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.
