Grays Turn Back Maple, 4-2

Ángel Vázquez had a good game, but he could not keep the Maple Marauders from falling, 4-2, to the Georgia Grays at The Death Star. The Maple designated hitter went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks in the loss. The win was Koshiro Ohayashi's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Khurshid Durrani took the loss for Maple. The Grays bumped their record to 68-68 with this latest triumph.
The Grays got a big at-bat from center fielder Lloyd Murphy. For the game, Murphy was 2 for 3 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Georgia a 2-0 lead.
Maple manager Jesús Alfaro said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
