Black Knights Come Up Short at Rubber City
|
Carlos Molina did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Brooklyn Black Knights from losing, 5-4, to the Rubber City Rhinos at The Rubber Grounds. Molina went 2-3 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Anupradana Agarkar notched his 20th save in 27 chances. The Rhinos saw their win-loss record go to 66-71. At the same time, the Black Knights fell to 61-74.
William Banks, the 23 overall pick in the 2031 draft, chipped in for Rubber City with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Banks said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
