Stogies Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Hawaii
|
The Havana Stogies dealt the Hawaii Islanders a 8-5 loss at The Humidor. Shi-kai Tsu was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ti-an Dan closed the game out for Havana, earning his 3rd save. The Islanders fall to 5-9 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
Roland Philippe was 1-4 with a hit by pitch for Havana. The 26-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Keith Martin. It was his 23rd RBI of the season.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Havana skipper Reynaldo Vázquez.
