Multi-HR Game for Adams in 10-5 Win
|
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Lance Adams, the Santa Fe Fuego defeated the San Diego Hops, 10-5. Adams slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Fuego. Mehmood Dar got the win, improving to 13-12. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The Fuego improved to 66-69.
The Fuego got a big at-bat from designated hitter Denzel Tatchell. For the game, Tatchell was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Santa Fe a 2-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Tatchell said.
