Multi-HR Game for Murphy in 4-1 Win
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the top prospect Lloyd Murphy, the Georgia Grays stopped the South Carolina Bombers, 4-1. Dave Munier got the win, improving to 10-4. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Matt Comrie notched his 36th save in 41 chances.
Murphy had a key at-bat for Georgia early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and gave Georgia an early 2-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Murphy said.
The current losing streak for South Carolina has reached 5 games.
