Vancouver Pioneers starter Kenko Samurakami turned in an exceptional performance against the Eureka Hornets at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, resulting in a Vancouver win, 5-2. The Pioneers improved to 60-74.

Javier Santos aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Samurakami said.
