Mustangs Stumble, Lose to Tornadoes
|
Kansas City left fielder Ross Stephenson was instrumental in his team's 8-3 win over the Mile High Mustangs. Stephenson, who is rated as the 86th best prospect by BNN, went 3-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tornadoes. Tomoyuki Kiyomizu recorded his 3rd save for Kansas City. The Mustangs, now 4-10, continue their poor start.
Oliver North, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, aided the Kansas City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Kansas City manager Ryan Blandford.
