Fuego Get Close Win Over Earthquakes
The Santa Fe Fuego did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes at Golden Gate Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Mehmood Dar, who captured player of the game honors. Santa Fe is 4th in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division with a record of 63-68.

Lewis Hoskins drew 1 walk for Santa Fe. The 27-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Zak Osborn. It was his 5th walk of the season.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Dar said.
