Havana right fielder Yeow-whye Jing made his presence felt in the 10-2 Stogies triumph over the Bloomington Blazers. Jing was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ti-an Dan, credited with the save, is now 6 for 12 in save opportunities. The Stogies, at 82-46, lead by one game in their division.
Jing had a key at-bat for Havana early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and gave Havana an early 2-0 lead.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Havana manager Reynaldo Vázquez.
