Multi-HR Game for Leeder in 9-8 Win
Maple and Seattle duked it out at Legends Park and the Marauders came out victorious.

Getting a good performance from second baseman Gerard Leeder, the Maple Marauders defeated the Seattle Sasquatch, 9-8. Leeder slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Marauders. Reliever Maulik Shaw picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Nabil bin Baha took the loss.

Leeder contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Maple in the bottom of the eighth. With his team trailing 8-5, Leeder took a fastball from Nabil bin Baha and stroked the home run to right. His 35th home run of the season allowed the Marauders to leap in front, 9-8.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro.

The current losing streak for Seattle has reached 4 games.
