|
Starting pitcher Peter Miner pitched well enough to help the Havana Stogies beat the Hawaii Islanders by the score of 5-4. The Islanders fall to 5-8 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Havana shortstop Narihira Murakami, facing Pedre Pedrogo, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Stogies the 5-4 win.
In postgame remarks, Murakami simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
