Blazers Squelch Stogies Offense in Shutout Win
Bloomington Blazers starter Salah bin Atif turned in a top-notch performance against the Havana Stogies at Arson Arena. The result was a win for the Blazers, 3-0. bin Atif, now 14-5, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. Paco Berroa got the save, his 38th in 42 chances.

The Blazers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Levi Meeuwenberg. For the game, Meeuwenberg was 2 for 3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.

"Feels good to get the job done," Meeuwenberg said after the game.
