Texans Stymie Mile High, Take 3-1 Win
|
The Dallas Texans topped the Mile High Mustangs, 3-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at McNichols Stadium. The player of the game was Dallas first baseman Wen Wei. Nicolas Dupuis got the save, his 1st in 2 chances. The Texans bumped their record to 75-52 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when catcher Roger Washington, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL in home runs with 31, hit a single. The Texans went on to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Washington.
