Pioneers Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Maple
|
The Vancouver Pioneers stopped the Maple Marauders, 8-3, at Legends Park. The Pioneers got a big game from Ruben Torres, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Vancouver is now 57-70, while Maple is 84-42.
Torres had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Pioneers went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Torres told reporters after the game.
