Aces Get One-Run Win at Brooklyn
|
Las Vegas center fielder Norihisa Iwamoto made his presence felt in the 4-3 Aces triumph over the Brooklyn Black Knights. Iwamoto went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Richard Lawson, credited with the win, is now 7-5. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. Amaui Mahi'ai got the save, his 8th in 12 chances.
Iwamoto had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Koi-sho An, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Aces a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Iwamoto.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Las Vegas manager Chris Schell. "It's usually not just one thing."
Las Vegas has a 3-game win streak, while Brooklyn has lost 3 in a row.
