Beavers Flatten Sasquatch, 12-2

Portland played host to Seattle at the friendly confines of Waterfront Park.
Portland second baseman Matthew Bauer was instrumental in his team's 12-2 win over the Seattle Sasquatch. Bauer, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Beavers organization, went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Beavers. Yoshiaki Kojima got the win, improving to 3-0. He held the Sasquatch to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2.
Bauer had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Beavers went on to win.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Bauer told the Portland Daily.
Portland, now 8-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
