The Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Portland Beavers, 4-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Waterfront Park, with Seattle designated hitter Dino De Buono named player of the game. Hisataro Sato was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 30 save opportunities. Today's win puts Seattle at 49-74, while Portland falls to 58-66.
Seattle grabbed the momentum in the top of the sixth, when De Buono, who is rated as the 70th best prospect by BNN, hit a run-scoring single. His 101st hit of the season put the Sasquatch out in front, 3-2.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Sasquatch manager Chris Sexton. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
