Georgia starter Dave Munier pitched effectively against the Mile High Mustangs at McNichols Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. The Grays go to 61-62, putting them third in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.

Lloyd Murphy, who is rated as the 9th best prospect by BNN, aided the Georgia cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
