Texans Edge Past Republic, 2-1

The Dallas Texans faced a tough opponent in So Cal pitcher Ju-ao Ru, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Metroplex Park by a final score of 2-1. Ru went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Texans bumped their record to 72-51 with this latest triumph.
Wen Wei drove in one run for Dallas. The 30-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ju-ao Ru. It was his 31st RBI of the season.
"Runs were at a premium," said Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda.
