The Santa Fe Fuego got a strong performance from pitcher Alexis Garrett, who stymied the Las Vegas offense en route to a 4-2 win at Sin City Stadium. Garrett got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Garrett allowed 2 earned runs. Jun'ichi Suzuki was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 30 of 36 save opportunities.

Yoshitake Morita's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a sinker from Richard Lawson for a 2-run double. It put Santa Fe in front, 4-2.

Garrett told a Santa Fe Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
