Mustangs Slip Past Eureka, 5-4

The Mile High Mustangs wiggled past the Eureka Hornets, 5-4, at The Nest. Mile High pitcher James Jostle earned player of the game honors. The winner was Mile High reliever Larry Greer, now 1-1. The loser was Elliott Rogers. The Mustangs bumped their record to 63-57 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from center fielder Denzel Kemsley. For the game, Kemsley went 1-1. In the top of the 12th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 101st hit of the season gave Mile High a 5-4 lead.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Kinnojo Shirai, the Mile High manager.
