The rain came, as predicted, but the Las Vegas Aces and Havana Stogies were able to complete their ballgame.

The Las Vegas Aces got a strong performance from pitcher Richard Lawson, who stymied the Havana offense en route to a 4-2 win at Sin City Stadium. Even with the win, the Aces have a dismal 40-77 record.

The Aces got a big at-bat from designated hitter Doug White. For the game, White was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 28th home run of the season gave Las Vegas a 3-2 lead.

"Enjoyed this one," Lawson told the Las Vegas Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
