Xuan Goes Off, But Hops Win
|
Dallas got a terrific performance from third baseman Tzu-yu Xuan, but it wasn't enough to beat the San Diego Hops. San Diego won the The Brew Stade contest, 9-4. Xuan was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. San Diego bumps their record to 51-69 with the win.
An-yi Bian, who is rated as the 64th best prospect by BNN, aided the San Diego cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Enjoyed this one," Bian told the San Diego Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
