The Santa Fe Fuego topped the Hawaii Islanders, 5-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Fire House. The player of the game was Santa Fe pitcher Clint Taurus. Jun'ichi Suzuki notched his 29th save in 35 chances. The win boosts the Fuego to 57-63. The loss puts the Islanders at 74-46.

The Fuego got a big at-bat from first baseman Lance Adams. For the game, Adams was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave Santa Fe a 4-3 lead.
